Setting up Auto Draft via Phone

You must have a $0 (zero) balance on your account before you can set up auto draft.
  1. Call 843-761-8200
  2. Choose Option 3: "Make a payment or access your account"
  3. Choose Option 3: "Update your auto pay information"
  4. Enter your Berkeley Electric account number, followed by the # sign
  5. Listen to verify the account number
    1. Choose option 1 if it is correct
    2. Choose option 2 if it is incorrect.  Re-enter your information when prompted.
  6. Listen to verify the address
    1. Choose option 1 if it is the correct location for the account you are calling about
    2. Choose option 2 if it is incorrect.  Re-enter your information when prompted.
  7. Choose which draft method you want to use
    1. Option 1 is via checking account using your bank routing number and bank account number
    2. Option 2 is via credit/debit card with Visa, Mastercard, Discover, or American Express
  8. Listen and complete the remaining prompts to key in the payment information you want saved for auto draft.
