Who can relinquish rights?

  • The membership must be a joint membership.
  • All accounts under the customer number must be relinquished. 
  • We must have a Relinquish of Rights form signed by the relinquishing member. 
    • If the member mails the relinquish form, it must be notarized and must include a valid copy of his or her driver’s license or government-issued photo identification when returned to any of our offices. 
    • If the relinquishing member signs the form in the office, we can verify identification and notarize the form.
The membership MUST be joint AND it can only be relinquished to the spouse.  No exceptions.
