How do I request to disconnect my service?


NotesDo not use this form for temporary disconnects involving repairs or to retire service.  Call us at 843-761-8200 or email us at memberrequests@bec.coop to initiate those kinds of requests.

Members should log into their account on Smarthub (https://becsc.smarthub.coop/Login.html) and go to My Services in the left navigation menu.

Select the address you'd like to disconnect from the blue drop-down menu and click Add & Edit Services.



Confirm the correct address is selected and click "Disconnect electric service."


Complete the forwarding mailing address (this is needed to continue receiving capital credit refunds after you move) and click "Continue."

Do not request specific times in the comments - they will not be honored.  Services are disconnected anytime between 8:00am and 5:00pm on the selected date on the next page. 


Select the date for the disconnection of service, review and accept the Terms and Conditions, and click "Continue."  Weekends and holidays are not available.


You'll receive a confirmation message once it is successfully submitted.
